the female body

I paint the nude female body to give it space. Space to exist without being sexualised, objectified, fetishised. Space to be what it essentially is; mundanely natural. We all have a body and it’s essentially nude. I paint the nude female body for us to see more of it in it’s natural state.
By adding an abstract layer of ‘unnatural’ color to them I want to unload some of the burden it bares - but most of all I paint them in the same color in each painting to unify them. Unify us.
